Corrosion Monitoring

Through access to the results of a multi-party joint industry research and data collection program, OGT | ProTreat® offers the unique abilities of a predictive model for assessing corrosion rates in amine and sour water systems.  OGT | SulphurPro® offers a similar capability for assessing sulfidic corrosion rates in high temperature H2S-containing systems such as the tubes in Waste Heat Boilers.  Sulfidic corrosion is discussed in detail here.  Corrosion rate assessment is a feature you will find in no other simulation software, and it is offered free of charge as part of the OGT | Suite components.  Within ProTreat it  includes the effect of H2S and CO2 solvent loading, amine strength, flow velocity, Reynolds number, pipe roughness, and temperature.

This plot shows how model calculations compare with measured data for corrosion by H2S and CO2 in amines and sour water systems under industrial conditions.  Learn more here about corrosion monitoring in these systems.
