Sulfur Converters

Sulphur Converters can be simulated with Titania, Alumina, or Inert particles for gas distribution either in a single bed or layered in multiple beds of particles of various types, sizes, and shapes (spherical, cylindrical, trilobe) and in various states of inactivation. The Claus Converter accounts for COS and CS2 hydrolysis as well as the main Claus reaction which forms elemental sulphur. The simulation generates temperature profiles across the converter beds which helps to determine when there is the likelihood of liquid sulphur forming within the catalyst pores.
