Optimized Gas Treating, Inc. is pleased to offer a new three-day advanced seminar for professionals needing greater knowledge and a deeper understanding of acid gas treating. The seminar uses ProTreat™, an advanced heat and mass transfer rates-based simulation tool. Highlighted are some of the newer treating technologies (e.g., mixed amines, solvent activators, stripping promoters), how tower internals selection matters, effect of solvent contamination on process performance, and using process simulation in troubleshooting.
Objectives
The seminar emphasizes hands-on problem solving with the aid of process simulation. It uses the ProTreat™ simulator, and includes detailed training in its use. You will develop proficiency in simulation, gain expert technical understanding of the process parameters that are important in amine plant operation, acquire intimate knowledge of process considerations that affect the design of safe and efficient plants, perform process optimizations, make rational decisions about processing conditions, and troubleshoot gas treating facilities. To encourage discussion and allow for individual attention, the seminar is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.

Design engineers, plant engineers and other practicing engineering professionals, technical group leaders and managers, research engineers and scientists, pollution control and environmental engineers. The seminar will be valuable to any professional who deals frequently with any aspect of acid gas removal, from sour gas and tail gas treating to carbon capture and storage.
This is a hands-on seminar. Each participant should bring a laptop computer, preferably with ProTreat™ and the HASP key driver already installed. If you are not currently a ProTreat user or you use a network license, you will receive a PC dongle (security key) for your personal use during the seminar.
